SwRI engineers and scientists evaluate, develop, deploy, and verify software systems for the government and commercial clients.

The Information Systems Engineering Department of Southwest Research Institute (SwRI) evaluates, develops, deploys, and verifies software systems for the government and commercial clients. The staff has extensive experience in the design, development, deployment, testing, and maintenance of large, complex software systems.

Rigorous Development Process

For the benefit of our clients, information systems engineering projects adhere to a rigorous, standardized development process beginning with an analysis of the client’s current business model and concluding with system deployment. Depending on the needs of the client, this process has optional entry and exit paths and includes services such as:

  • Business process re-engineering

  • Requirements elicitation and analysis

  • Infrastructure and architecture specification

  • Software design and development

  • Integration and acceptance testing
